Seniors
Honoring who you are, and who you're becoming.
The best portraits don't just show what you look like—they tell the story of who you are.
Rather than creating a version of you for the camera, I seek to tell your story with authenticity. My hope is that years from now, these images will still feel like you: honest, timeless, and reflective of the beauty and dignity with which you were created.

There's no strict limit on outfit changes. However, changing outfits is included in your session time, so more changes mean less time in front of the camera.
In general, I recommend planning for about one outfit per hour of shooting (and often one outfit per location). This allows us to move at a relaxed pace that doesn’t feel rushed.

Choose clothing that reflects your personal style and that you feel comfortable and confident wearing.
In general, soft textures and simple patterns tend to photograph beautifully because they keep the focus where it belongs—on you. Neutral and earthy tones often complement natural light especially well, but a pop of color can also add personality and depth!

You're not alone! Most seniors have never been professionally photographed before and have no idea what to expect.
Before we start taking photos, I'll spend time getting to know you. I'll ask about your personality, your style, and what you hope these portraits will say about this season of your life. I'll also invite you to share what you love about your appearance, as well as any insecurities you'd like me to be mindful of. My goal is never to hide who you are, but to photograph you in a way that feels honest, flattering, and true to you.
During your session, I'll guide you through natural poses and movements, offering encouragement and small adjustments along the way. If something looks stiff, or your tag is sticking out, or an expression doesn't quite feel like you, I'll help you make those little changes so you can simply relax and be present.

Absolutely. The things you love—sports, music, art, or any other passion—are all part of your story.
I don't approach these as traditional hobby portraits. Instead of posing with props in a generic location, I photograph your passions where they're actually lived. Whether that's at a sports game, in your studio, or during rehearsal, the goal is to create images that tell an honest story—one that is authentic and personal.

I'm based in the Jackson, MI area and typically photograph sessions within about a 20-mile radius.
If there's a place that's meaningful to you, I'd love to photograph you there.
If nothing immediately comes to mind, I have a handful of favorite locations throughout the Jackson area. Together, we'll choose a location that complements your personality and the story you want these photographs to tell.

I edit with a light hand, refining color, light, and tone while remaining faithful to the atmosphere and emotion of the moment. My goal is for your photographs to feel timeless—an honest reflection of your story rather than a passing trend.
As part of that process, I will remove temporary distractions that don't reflect your everyday appearance, such as blemishes, stray hairs, lint, or a visible clothing strap.
I want you to recognize yourself in your photographs—not an idealized version, but the person God created you to be, with images that reveal the goodness, truth, and beauty already present.

Your gallery will be delivered digitally within 2–4 weeks of your session. From there, you'll be able to view, download, and share your high-resolution images with family and friends.
If you'd like to preserve your photographs as tangible heirlooms, you can conveniently order professional-quality prints and products directly through your online gallery. You're also welcome to download your images and print them through a print lab of your choice.
If you're unsure which sizes to choose or how you'd like to display your photographs, I'm always happy to offer guidance. These images were created to be enjoyed beyond the screen, and I'd love to help you preserve them in a way that will be cherished for years to come.
